Hello Peck Slip students,
My name is Brian and welcome to my physical education class! I hope you had an amazing summer and I can’t wait to get this year started. Here are a few fun facts about myself. I was born and raised on Long Island, NY. I am a huge sports fan. The teams that I am most passionate about are the New York Islanders, New York Mets and Minnesota Vikings. Two of my favorite hobbies are going bowling with friends and watching Marvel movies.
My goal in physical education is for everyone to learn to make healthy choices and feel successful when participating in a variety of activities. This enables students to develop a positive attitude toward physical activity and to develop healthy habits, which will hopefully continue throughout your lives.
We will be actively participating in a variety of different skills and games. Some of the topics that will be covered are fitnessgram, cooperative games, bowling, throwing and catching and passing and dribbling.
Please make sure you wear sneakers or any type of appropriate foot wear on gym days. Safety is my number one priority in the gymnasium!

Today as we wrapped up our basketball unit we included a water break/yoga station where our students were creative in discovering new partner poses together. Take a look at some of our K-2 kiddos!
Mikayel did a fantastic job assisting our 1st graders in their instruction from September-January. We will miss him and hope he can return to teach us again!!
